STRICTLY EXCLUSIVE: 'I want Sophie to win but I think Natalie will' says Deborah Meaden
STRICTLY Come Dancing star Deborah Meaden has revealed that while she is rooting for Sophie Ellis-Bextor to take home the dancing crown, she has a feeling someone else will nab it.
The former Dragon opened up about her time on the show during a visit to the City Index London Office earlier this week, where she confessed that Murder On The Dancefloor hit maker Sophie is her favourite.
"I think it's such an open field at the moment, but I would love Sophie to win," she confessed.
"She's got a very cool, very different style of dancing and she's such a lovely girl."
However, Deborah added that she thinks it might be Natalie who ends up wearing the crown.
"But who should probably win, in terms of our dancing ability, is Natalie. She could have won on day one; she's just absolutely brilliant."
She added: "The final vote is with the public, of course, and often they like to support someone who's grown or developed over time. Natalie's been consistently brilliant, brilliant, brilliant."
And speaking about maintaining her dancing since being the fourth contestant to be voted out of the show, she said: "I haven't danced for a couple of weeks, but I am going on the tour which means that I'm going to HAVE to maintain my dancing.
"After that, I worry that I'll run out of excuses to carry on dancing, but I'm determined to find new ways of keeping it up."
Deborah also revealed that she will be keeping in touch with the stars of the show after making such great friends with them during filming.
"I’ve made such a lot of friends, not just with the celebrities but with the production crew; we’ve all had such a great experience together.
"I think Rob and I will stay friends. In fact, I’m seeing him tonight for dinner."
This weekend will see Abbey, Patrick, Natalie and Sophie fight it out in the sem-finals.
