Geri Halliwell's comeback track flops in Australia
Singer GERI HALLIWELL has been left red-faced after her comeback single sold just 393 copies in Australia in its first week of release.
The former Spice Girls star, who has hoped to revive her musical career Down Under, failed to impress fans with the son Half of Me, which is her first single since Desire in 2005.
But the track, released by Sony Australia last week (ends01Nov13), ended up charting at just 281 in Australia.
Damien Nicholas, of musical website Auspop, tells The Australian newspaper, "It got what it deserved... I love Geri, but this is the kind of single she'd have turned her nose up at as a B-side 10 years ago. It lacks spice."
