Wayne Rooney spends his 28th birthday with his family at low-key dinner
BACK IN his heyday, Wayne Rooney would have been up to all sorts of bother when it came round to his birthday celebrations.
But it looks as though family life has taken hold of the England footballer, after he chose to celebrate the day with a low-key dinner at his favourite Chinese restaurant with Coleen and his two children.
The 28-year-old looked relaxed and content as he left Wings restaurant in Manchester with three-year-old Kai and Klay, who was born in May this year.
The Manchester United striker kept things casual for his intimate dinner celebration, opting for a pair of jeans and a black puffa jacket.
Coleen and Klay upped the stylish stakes though, with Coleen looking gorgeous in a leopard print shirt and a pair of black skinny jeans and Klay in an adorable checked shirt and jeans combo.
The foursome were joined by a couple of family friends, including fellow footballers Joe Hart and Ryan Giggs, who brought along their respective partners.
And looking every inch the doting father, Wayne carried his son Klay in a car seat while he gripped Kai's hand tight as he headed back to the car after what looked like an enjoyable night out.
Coleen took to Twitter earlier today to air her enjoyment of the night, writing: "Lovely night at Wings Resturant for @WayneRooney birthday."
And Wayne headed over to his Twitter page to thank fans for their birthday wishes.
He wrote: "Thank you to everyone for my birthday wishes today."
