It's a family affair! Wayne Rooney shares cute picture of Kai looking after his brother
BEING a big brother can be one of the most important jobs in a child's little life, and it seems as though Kai Rooney is embracing his new role with ease.
The three-year-old looked more than happy to be looking after his brother Klay in an adorable portrait posted online by his father Wayne Rooney.
Seemingly experienced in looking after his sibling already, the toddler cradled Klay's head while wrapping his other arm around his legs.
The football star uploaded the snap of his two little boys looking every inch the best buds they will no doubt grow in to on Tuesday with the caption: "Kai looking after his little brother."
4-week-old Klay looked adorable in a cable knit cardigan while Kai kept to his signature style in a polo shirt with the collar flipped up.
But this isn't the only proof that Kai is over the moon with the addition to his family.
An intimate snap, posted on Coleen's Facebook page, showed Kai gazing into Klay's eyes as he seemingly slept in his father's arms.
Accompanying the image, she wrote: ‘Thanks everybody for the lovely messages, we're all doing great. Kai loves his little brother x’
Coleen gave birth to Klay on May 20, and both parents took to their Twitter pages to reveal the happy news.
"Our beautiful son Klay Anthony Rooney was born at 2.11am, weight alb 11.1/2 oz. Both Klay and Coleen are fine…we're all delighted!!"
Coleen echoed her husband's words, writing: "At 2.11am our beautiful son…Klay Anthony Rooney entered the world. He weighed alb 11.1/2 oz. We're all so happy and doing well. X"
