Sleepy village wakes to a scene from Hollywood with George Clooney and Matt Damon
HOLLYWOOD stars George Clooney and Matt Damon brought a sleepy village to a standstill for a day filming a period drama.
The Oscar-winning actors were shooting scenes for new movie The Monuments Men.
Matt, 42, was spotted riding on a horse and trap wearing an old brown jacket and flat cap with The Artist Oscar winner Jean Dujardin.
Locals in Fingest, Bucks, (population 400), took pictures of the stars on their mobile phones as they rode past chocolate box cottages.
George, 52, is directing and starring in the film based on the true story of a special Allied task force that saved priceless works of art from the Nazis in the Second World War.
They were ordered to steal masterpieces from Hitler’s henchmen Hermann Goring and Joseph Goebbels.
The film, expected to be released later this year, also stars Bill Murray, Cate Blanchett, John Goodman and Downton Abbey’s Hugh Bonneville.
