Henry Cavill reveals the Superman suit was not made for hot weather
HENRY CAVILL will burst on to our screens next month as the new Superman in Man Of Steel and the British actor reveals that the big-budget film was not really that glamorous.
Putting on his Superman costume for the first time Henry, 29, explains that although it was exciting, the suit was not made for hot weather.
“I was all wrapped up in the very sticky waterproof black cape so no paparazzi could get shots or anything like that,” Henry tells SFX Magazine.
“It was roasting hot. It was more than 100 degrees in Chicago. And it’s that moment of going, ‘This is me, unveiling myself as Superman to the crew.’ There was a slight aspect of nerves but it was more about excitement. It was an incredible feeling, wearing the suit, after all the work I’d done and everyone else had done in putting the suit together.”
