Joe Swash 'declared bankrupt' for the second time in less than four years
FORMER EastEnders star Joe Swash has reportedly gone bankrupt for a second time due to an unsettled tax bill.
The 31-year-old is said to owe the tax man £50,000, but according to his spokesperson it is all "a simple mistake."
“He assumed his trustee in bankruptcy was dealing with it,” they told The Sun. “The money is there to be paid. It will be resolved this week.”
Swash was declared insolvent on March 5, with the Official Receiver now heading to gain some of his assets.
The situation is rather reminiscent of Swash’s money troubles back in 2009 when he was first made bankrupt.
The actor, who won ITV’s ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ in 2008, origianlly owed the Inland Revenue £120,000 but managed to clear his debt down to £20,000.
However, the tax man soon got fed up of waiting and Swash was said to be bankrupt less than a year after winning the reality TV show.
