Gareth Thomas will skate at Dancing on Ice final but he won't be competing
GARETH Thomas has revealed that he will show off his skating skills at the Dancing on Ice final this weekend, but sadly it will be a non-competitive performance.
The 38-year-old former rugby player was forced to quit the reality TV show last weekend after suffering from bouts of dizziness before taking to the ice.
However, ITV bosses have said he can perform one last time in the final but he won’t be competing for the crown.
The Welsh star, who has also suffered from memory loss and fainting fits, confirmed: “I’m OK now. I’ve been like a pin cushion for the last few days getting all the tests because I just want to get back on the ice.”
Speaking on ITV’s Daybreak, Thomas added: “I’m going to be back on Sunday, yes. But I’m not flying ever again. My feet are staying on the floor.”
The Dancing On Ice final will be aired on Sunday March 10 at 7pm with Matt Lapinskas, Beth Tweddle and Luke Campbell all skating to win.
