OBE for Call The Midwife star Jenny Agutter
ENGLISH rose actress Jenny Agutter took time out from filming Call The Midwife to receive an OBE yesterday.
Her role as a nun in the BBC drama has brought her back into the spotlight but the award from the Queen at Buckingham Palace came for her charity work.
Agutter, 59, star of The Railway Children, is a trustee of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and supports Action for Children.
The Queen also awarded MBEs to bus workers Kenneth Martin and Peter Middleton for keeping services going during last year’s London riots.
