Engelbert Humperdinck: I’ll end Eurovision slump
ENGELBERT Humperdinck, Eurovision’s unlikeliest hopeful, has unveiled the “soaring ballad” he hopes will win this year’s contest.
Love Will Set You Free sees the 75-year-old crooner accompanied by Spanish guitarist James Bryan.
The Hump, left, vows to make up for the disappointment of boy band Blue coming only 11th last year and has his “eyes on the prize” for the UK at the song contest on May 26 in Azerbaijan, with the track premiered on the BBC’s Eurovision website.
He praised the song for “quality”, saying it was “beautifully romantic”.
