Harry Potter conjures up magic at box office
The latest film in the HARRY POTTER franchise has cast its spell on the box office chart, scoring a second week at the top spot.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 took £8.5 million over the weekend (22-24Jul11) - less than half the takings from its record-breaking opening weekend earlier this month (Jul11).
But the wizard blockbuster - the final installment in the series - still beat runner-up Cars 2 in the rundown. The animated Pixar adventure took £3.5 million in its first three days.
Jennifer Aniston's comedy Horrible Bosses debuted in third place with £2.1 million, while Bridesmaids (£1 million) and Transformers: Dark of the Moon (£875,000) rounded out the new top five.
