Escape to the Country fans can rent out presenter Jules Hudson’s incredible Airbnb for just £145 per night – and it’s in an incredible location. Nestled in rural Herefordshire, the quaint property features a “bespoke build” by Jules. It’s nicknamed Mole Hill Hut, billed as a “unique couples’ retreat” with access to The Trough – which BBC star Jules had custom-made with a wood burner and comfortable chairs.

The Wye Valley escape is designed for two people to go luxury glamping. It has easy access to the rural village of Eaton Bishop, on the edge of the Golden Valley. Jules’ website says the area boasts activities like “walking, cycling, golf, canoeing, paddle boarding and fishing”, with excursions encouraged to the nearby Hereford Cathedral and the Magna Carta.

The local area has a “thriving foodie scene” with restaurants prioritising local produce, plus Michelin-starred venues and “innovative” gastropubs.

According to Jules’ website, couples can rent the property for £150 per night, with a 15% discount offered for bookings longer than seven days. There is a three-night minimum stay, with check-in offered from 4pm and check-out at 10am.

Speaking about renovating the property, Jules said: “Bringing it all together was a genuine family affair, each one of us contributed to the final result and we are really proud to share it those who are looking for an exclusive and private get-away.”

The property doesn’t include a TV “to help you make the most of the wholesome setting”, but WiFi is available. Upon parking the car, guests will use a pair of wheelbarrows to bring their luggage across the 160-metres to the site “past chickens, mature hedgerows and wildflowers”.

Guests are also treated to a welcome pack, including granola, milk, bread, prosecco and even eggs from Jules’ farm. Two Dry Robe coats are provided year-round for the colder weather, along with locally sourced wood for use in the wood burner.

It’s not the only property Jules has. He also rents out No. 2 Deben Wharf, located on the banks of the River Deben in Suffolk.

The area was featured in the Hollywood Ralph Fiennes movie The Dig, and is located close to the riverside locale of Woodbridge – billed as the perfect city escape. The boutique apartment is a far cry from the rural glamping site, and costs just over £200 per night with a two-night minimum stay.
