Rod Stewart says 'we've all noticed' as he talks huge 'change' in wife Penny Lancaster
Rod Stewart's wife and Loose Women star Penny Lancaster became a special police constable in 2021, but is currently on a break from the role due to an injury
Sir Rod Stewart has revealed he's noticed a change in his wife, Penny Lancaster, following her career switch. Back in 2021, Penny set aside her glamorous lifestyle to take on the role of a special police constable.
The former model has since found herself on the frontline during major events, including the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and the Coronation of King Charles III.
In an interview with The Times, Rod, 81, shared his thoughts on Penny's remarkable career transformation and the change he has noticed.
He quipped: "I have noticed she's got more bossy since she's been a copper. The kids have noticed, we've all noticed. She seems to think she knows everything now."

In 2024, Penny, 55, spoke openly about how Rod and their two teenage sons initially reacted to her police duties.
"When I first told them the idea of joining, they thought I was absolutely mad," she told the same publication.
"And also, being young lads, my sons didn't think it was cool. But now they're so proud, it's a complete turnaround."
Penny believes their opinions shifted once they "heard the stories" of her policing experiences and witnessed the transformation in her character.
She shared: "To begin with they were like, 'Mum, you've become stricter. I don't like this'. And even Rod would say, 'You've changed. You're more forceful, you're more this, you're more that'."
Despite those early reservations, Penny confirmed that Rod has since become one of her greatest supporters throughout her journey.
"He's seen the dedication I have with the force and what it gives me back, as well as what I can give them," she revealed on Loose Women.
Penny hit a stumbling block in her role in 2024 when an injury sidelined her from active duties. During an overseas trip, she sustained a torn meniscus in her right knee, temporarily putting her out of action.
Speaking on The One Show last month, she said she is still recovering from an Achilles problem, but vowed to be back on duty when possible.
"I absolutely love it. I currently have got a bit of an Achilles injury so I'm getting there."
Previously opening up about her career switch on the We're Not Getting Any Younger podcast, she explained: "I've been doing it for four years now so he's [Rod] kind of got used to it and he's met a lot of my colleagues and he respects the amount of training I've done.
"I have [arrested people], two people, for drink driving and drug driving. Every accident you have to test for drink and drugs. It is an adrenaline rush, I wasn't arresting on live TV."
