I'm A Celeb's Beverley Callard issues heartbreaking cancer update days before jungle
The former Coronation Street actress has a tense wait ahead of her after further tests.

I’m A Celeb star Beverley Callard issued a heartbreaking update to fans after being diagnosed with breast cancer. The 68-year-old actress, who shot to fame as Liz McDonald in Coronation Street, admitted she has a difficult wait ahead of her after further testing to see if the cancer has spread beyond her affected breast.
In a candid new video, Bev said: “Today has been a weird day, the last few days have been really weird. I just thought I’d talk about it in case someone else is feeling the same. It was my birthday on Saturday, today is Monday. On Saturday, I was quite tired, I had my nails done but aside from that I had quite an easy day.
“Yesterday was wonderful, we had a few people round from work and it was great and then this morning I had to go and register with a new GP because I’m in Ireland for quite a long time now.

“I had to go through everything that’s happened and filled her in, she was fantastic, she was really good.”
She added: “But it made me realise that I’m in denial a lot of the time. If I’m at work I’ve got lines in my head and scripts and I’m really busy all the time and then suddenly I’m not because I’ve got quite a good few weeks off now.
“And explaining everything to the GP made me realise that I’m not concentrating on it – which maybe is a good thing.
“But sometimes I actually think, that even though they’ve operated on me, maybe they’re wrong and I didn’t have it.
“I’m still waiting for results and it just made me go so flat because I have to face it properly and I think I’m not half the time.
“And I was wondering if anyone else feels like that? Does that happen to you? Or is it just me being a crazy woman? I don’t know. That’s how I feel today.”
It comes just days before the launch of I’m A Celeb All Stars, which will see Beverley head to South Africa for the reality show, which was pre-filmed instead of taking place live.
