Britney Spears arrested in California after worrying social media posts
The pop princess has reportedly been arrested after worrying fans with her troubling behaviour and concerning social media posts.
Britney Spears has reportedly been arrested for a DUI by the California Highway Patrol at 9.30pm on Wednesday (March 4), according to reports. According to The Sun, the Toxic singer's car was taken to Roy Towing in Thousand Oaks and was put in handcuffs at 9.30pm. She has since been released, with and court date on May 4.
The US publication has seen Britney's inmate details that confirm her arrest. Express.co.uk has reached out to Britney's team for a comment. After looking at the paperwork, they claim the singer's occupation is listed as "celebrity", and states she was booked in at 3am on Thursday morning (March 5).

It comes as fans have spotted that Britney has disabled her Instagram page. Fans flocked to X - formerly known as Twitter - to share their fears for the musician online. One user asked: "Did Britney deactivate her Instagram account?" moments before the news of her arrest made the headlines.
Last month, the singer worried fans when she shared a series of high-energy videos of her dancing around her house. In one video, she showed off her impressive abs and flashed her bra to the camera as she performed to Billie Eilish.
Back in November, close friends of the pop princess told The Sun that "she wants to live in the UK" after becoming overwhelmed with family and personal issues unfolding in Los Angeles. The superstar has often talked about moving to London because of the pressures in California, and has plans for a "new place to set up home".

A business associate of the singer revealed Britney's passion for the UK is deep-rooted and often sees her speak in a fake English accent after "consuming YouTube videos about the UK." The source said: "Britney has said that she wants to live in England.
"Britney feels she has a real connection to the UK. When she was in her teens, Princess Diana was a major influence on her life, and she was obsessed with her sons William and Harry.
"She loves all things about the Royal Family and has said that she wants to take time to see the sights there. She consumes news about things to see in London online. And she has always felt proud to be able to mimic the English accent well, too."
