Presenter of A Place in the Sun, Laura Hamilton has spoken about how she stays in shape. Laura, 43, has been a presenter on the  Channel 4 programme since 2012.

Recently, Laura has been talking about her fitness routine and how she manages to stay healthy despite her busy life. She also has two children, Rocco and Tahlia, whom she had with her ex-husband Alex Goward.

Alongside discussing her fitness, Laura said she is careful with her diet to ensure she eats a healthy diet on a budget.

She told Closer just how she does it and what she puts in her shopping basket to get the most health benefits for her money.

Laura said: “I’m an Aldi convert. I try to budget around £75 a week for the three of us, which is really achievable when shopping there.”

Laura explained her basket is filled “with lean proteins” like salmon, chicken, turkey, and fruits like berries and watermelon.

Also included in her shopping basket are yoghurt, houmous and protein bars, with the star adding that she tries to stick to a healthy diet. She added: “For breakfast I'll usually have a protein shake with oats and matcha.”

This isn’t the first time the television presenter has spoken about her health, with Laura saying in 2025 that she was not worried about gaining weight and would not take medications whose side effects include weight loss.

She told The Sun: “I think people should do what is right for them. I take a high protein shake. I did that last year, and that works for me.

“As for the weight loss jabs, I don’t know. I look at some people, and I think, ‘oh my God, have they gone too far?’ Personally, I just want to be healthy for me, and a good role model for my kids.”

Away from focusing on her health, Laura has also been making investments, with the star revealing she had bought a property in Majorca that she intended to renovate.

Making the announcement on Instagram last July, she said: “I have some news, and this is something I have been wanting to share with you for some time, but it just hasn't felt quite right.

“As many of you know, this time last year I bought a property in Majorca, and it was a renovation project because that's exactly what I love.

“However, things have taken a lot longer. When you're renovating a property, you’re waiting for various licences and permits, and it is a slow process. The project is still very much underway; it's just taking a lot longer than I anticipated.”
