More than 23,000 pages of documents from the estate of the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have been released by the US House Oversight Committee. The vast database, which was published by US lawmakers’ ongoing release program, includes emails, logs, letters, subpoenas, travel slips, legal notes, and interview summaries that stretch back over decades.

But disgraced royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor isn’t the only familiar name mentioned in the extensive documents. He is just one of the 30 famous faces who appear in the explosive files, with the list reading more like a who’s who of British society. It features members of the royal family, prime ministers, rock stars, cultural icons, and political firebrands.

It should be noted that a name’s appearance does not imply any wrongdoing, but the sheer scale of the British names has sparked uproar in Westminster. Let’s take a look at all the famous Brits who have been caught up in the scandal.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor

Topping the list with the most mentions is the former Prince, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. The estranged royal was mentioned a staggering 173 times in total.

The former Duke of York came under fire following his infamous BBC Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis in 2019. In the one-on-one interview, he discussed his links to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, who is now serving time in prison.

Andrew used the interview to emphatically deny having sex with the 17-year-old Virginia Giuffre, claiming he was in Pizza Express in Woking on the day the encounter was meant to have taken place.

As more and more details about the scandal have unfolded, Andrew has been stripped of his royal titles and has stepped back from royal duties entirely.

Sarah Ferguson

Sarah Ferguson was mentioned nine times in the extensive files, which span multiple decades. The ex-wife of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor also found herself caught up in the Epstein scandal after an email from 2011 revealed that she called the disgraced sex offender her "supreme friend" and appeared to apologise for her public criticism of him.

The Mail on Sunday and The Sun newspapers published a 2011 email from the duchess to Epstein, which appears to have been sent after she had publicly claimed to have broken off contact with him. In the email, she appeared to privately apologise for her public rejection of Epstein.

It read: "You have always been a steadfast, generous, and supreme friend to me and my family." Meanwhile, the duchess said she would "have nothing ever to do with Jeffrey Epstein ever again" only for the later email to say she "humbly apologised" to him and "know you fell hellaciously let down by me."

Princess Diana

The late Diana, Princess of Wales, was listed a staggering 14 times in the Epstein files. Diana was the first wife of King Charles III and the mother of Prince Williand and Prince Harry.

She was known globally for her activism, humanitarian work, and popularity. However, her life was tragically cut short in a 1997 car crash in the heart of Paris, sparking a massive public outpouring of grief.
