Two child actors who starred in School of Rock have got engaged years after they met on the hit movie.

It’s been more than two decades since the childhood classic first burst onto our screens. The 2003 comedy followed the life of a failed musician – played by Jack Black – posing as a music teacher who starts a band with a bunch of students.

The comic also shared the screen with fellow Hollywood stars such as Miranda Cosgrove and Joan Cusack. It’s fair to say that many of the young actors left the acting industry after wrapping the film in pursuit of other careers.

Although Caitlin Hale, who played Marta aka Blondie, went on to work as a sonographer, she did keep up with something from her days on set – her co-stars.

She has also been dating Angelo Massagli since 2016, who played Frankie the tough guy in the cult classic.

He previously explained to Inside Edition that he reconnected with the former actress when he learned she was moving to Florida where he was living at the time.

The actor explained that the pair arranged to meet up thanks to “a group chat where all the School of Rock kids chat”.

He added: “We just hit each other up whenever someone moves somewhere new or is doing something different. The rest is history. This is locked down. Yes. This is it.”

The couple took their relationship to the next level last week when Hale took to Instagram to share a “sneak peek” at a set of professional snaps of the duo.

In their sweet snaps, the blonde bombshell could be seen wearing an enormous rock on her wedding finger. The same photos were also shared by a photographer back in late August, who confirmed their engagement.

The caption read: “Some moments don’t need words – they need to be felt. Caitlin and Angelo brought their undeniable chemistry to this engagement session, and the result is pure sophistication.

“Their elegant style combined with the soft, natural light perfectly highlights connection against the backdrop of the city.

“Every detail of these moments was about capturing their story in a way that feels timeless yet distinctly modern. When love is this effortless, the images speak for themselves.”

It didn't take long before their loyal fans and fellow co-stars flooded to the comments to congratulate them online. Actor Rivkah Reyes gushed: "BABESSS" as another fan joked: "So rock n roll IS about scoring chicks!"

A third added: "Congratulations to the actors who plays my favourite two favourite characters in School of Rock!" Massagli recalled the first time he met Hale during his audition for the film back in 2002.

He recalled: "I get in there and the little blonde girl next to me, she gets called in first and she starts singing show tunes and just blows the roof off the place. It was excellent."
