Loose Women star Jane Moore has been hit with a hefty legal bill after a buyer pulled out of purchasing her home, on the week of exchange. The 62-year-old is hoping to buy herself a new property once the family home is sold, but it's proving to be a stressful journey.

In an update on her progress, Jane said she is back to square one after the house sale of the people buying her home fell through, and led to the chain collapsing. "It was under offer earlier this year and the survey was fine, but then the house sale of the people buying it fell through and the chain collapsed," she explained.

"I said I would wait for them to get another offer, but they decided it was too stressful and opted to stay put." This has now taken Jane back to the beginning of re-listing her property again while she also deals with "a hefty legal bill".

She added to Platinum Magazine: "Worse, as the sale fell through on the week of exchange, I had already started to clear out all the cupboards and the house looked an absolute tip.

"It was another fortnight before I could re-list it."

Taking on board the concerns from previous househunters who viewed her property, Jane decided to make some improvements to her home in a final attempt at getting a secure purchase.

Concluding her column, she asked fans to wish her luck in finally being able to move.

The Loose Women star put her home on the market following her split from long-term husband and "best friend" Gary Farrow.

She addressed their break-up for the first time on the show back in 2022 after processing it privately for a year.

"So we are both quite private people and we had discussed it last year and it was going to happen last year," she explained.

"But he fell and broke his leg - I didn't push him."

Due to his accident, the pair held off from separating while he recovered.

She continued: "We're still doing Christmas together and then in the new year, we'll sell up. We'll buy our own houses, hopefully, you know, near each other.

"The kids know and the rest of our family know."

Jane has stepdaughter Lauren from her marriage to Gary, as well as two other daughters from a previous relationship.

Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
