Kate Garraway at father's hospital bedside after being rushed to hospital
Kate Garraway was rushed off air moments after Good Morning Britain finished after finding out her father had collapsed.
Kate Garraway has missed filming for Good Morning Britain to be at her father's hospital bedside in Cornwall.
The Good Morning Britain presenter reportedly rushed off the ITV set moments after Tuesday's show finished after learning her dad had collapsed at home.
According to The Sun, the 57-year-old travelled straight down to Cornwall to see her father after he suffered a suspected stroke and heart attack.
A source told the publication Kate is with her mother and brother during this difficult time for the family which comes just six months after the presenter's husband's death.
They added: "It was incredibly frightening as he was found unconscious and immediately taken to hospital.
"Kate rushed to be by his and her mum’s side minutes after GMB finished on air.
"It seems likely that he’s had a stroke and possibly a heart attack as well - doctors are still doing tests.
"He remains in hospital and is currently stable but, understandably, it's given the whole family a terrible scare and they are praying he can recover."

Express.co.uk has contacted Kate's representatives for comment.
Kate is due to be off work in the coming weeks as the summer holidays occur around the country.
She has not released a statement about her family on her social media accounts since attending Wimbledon with her daughter earlier this month.
This week, she was replaced by ITV presenters Ranvir Singh and Charlotte Hawkins.
Kate's late husband Derek Draper died in January following a four-year battle with coronavirus, leaving behind their two children Darcey and William.
The former lobbyist was hospitalised with the illness in March 2020 and needed round-the-clock care for years after contracting the virus caused a series of health complications.
Addressing his passing in a statement, Kate wrote: "I'm sad to have to tell you all that my darling husband Derek has passed away.
"As some of you may know he has been critically ill following a cardiac arrest in early December which, because of the damage inflicted by Covid in March 2020, led to further complications. Derek was surrounded by his family in his final days and I was by his side holding his hand throughout the last long hours and when he passed."
