ITV This Morning star would 'never do Strictly' as reason for avoiding BBC show unveiled
A star of ITV's This Morning has explained why he won't appear on Strictly Come Dancing, despite having a huge link to the BBC show.
A star who often appears on ITV's This Morning has opened up about his reluctance to participate in Strictly Come Dancing.
Jeff Brazier has turned down the idea of appearing on the BBC show in the wake of his eldest son, Bobby Brazier's, success in the competition.
The former EastEnders actor, 21, wowed audiences alongside professional partner Dianne Buswell, finishing in second place behind Coronation Street star Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola last year.
However, Jeff, 45, is adamant that his son should enjoy all the glory from the hit BBC One dance competition and he wouldn't seek to mimic his stint. In a frank conversation, the TV star explained his decision to stick to presenting roles, admitting he'd rather stay "in his lane".
"Bobby's been there, it's his thing," he told The Sun. "I feel like to step into that world would almost be to sort of steal his thunder slightly. That was Bob's thing and I want to leave it to him."

The presenter added: "I've got plenty of things that I really enjoy doing, I've got lots of exciting projects moving forward and I'll stay in my lane, I think," ruling out any involvement with Strictly for the foreseeable.
While Bobby has certainly captured the heart of fans, his younger brother, Freddie Brazier, appears primed to follow in the family's illustrious footsteps, readying himself to feature on Celebrity Race Across The World, reports the Mirror.
The 19-year-old is also collaborating with his dad to join forces with HomeServe. Speaking about their project, Jeff said: "I think at some point he'll possibly do a bit more but his interests lie elsewhere, at the moment."
Similarly to Bobby, Freddie has enjoyed modelling success, notably walking for the fashion brand Dolce and Gabbana at Milan Fashion Week.

Jeff previously opened up about supporting his two sons after the death of their mother, Jade Goody. Suffering from cervical cancer, Jade passed away in 2009 aged just 27.
Recalling her tragic death, Jeff told The Times: "My sons had lost their mother and I wanted to ease their pain.
"During Jade's illness, they had been living with me in Essex, so they were used to that. The first six months weren't too bad, but then I watched Bobby and Freddie fall into despair. I felt helpless."
The dad-of-two added: "Nothing I could do would makeup for them losing the most important person in their lives."
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and ITVX.
