Taylor Swift says it's 'humiliating' as hand locks up during gig

Liverpool is bracing itself for a Taylor Swift takeover later this week, following the singer's successful first leg of the Eras Tour in Scotland over the weekend.

Anfield, usually home to Liverpool FC, is set to host three sold-out concerts from Thursday, and fans are buzzing with anticipation.

Aerial photos of the iconic stadium reveal preparations well underway, with the pitch entirely covered as the stage and fan zones are set up.

Massive cranes are on-site to assemble the stage, with towering speakers already in place.

Meanwhile, fans have been spotted snapping selfies next to the Lover album artwork around the city, part of the Taylor Town Trail based on her album eras.

These latest images come as local police issued a stern warning to fans ahead of the concerts. Merseyside Police have urged fans not to camp out near the stadium in the days leading up to Thursday's first gig.

Ch Supt Zoe Thornton, who is at the helm of the Taylor Swift concert operation, has issued a stern warning to fans: "Only travel when the concert is opening" and firmly stated, "do not camp".

She explained: "We have got two elements for early entry for the pitch, so there will be staggered times, so that should help resolve people queuing unnecessarily, our advice is to only come when the concert is opening.

"But knowing the stands and seeing the actual view of the stadium you are going to have a really good view of Taylor Swift."

Thornton also highlighted that the police are well-prepared for any attempts by fans to camp out, as has been seen at other venues on the tour.

She stressed that camping is not permitted, citing local bylaws against camping at Stanley Park.

"Do not think you can camp, and look to secure proper accommodation," she continued.

In anticipation of the concerts, the city is implementing additional security measures. Roads around the stadium will be closed from midday, and there will be an increased police presence at key train stations.

The public is encouraged to remain "vigilant and to trust their instincts" during the event.
