Strictly Come Dancing’s Giovanni Pernice tipped for I’m A Celeb following shock exit
Following reports that Giovanni Pernice will be quitting the ballroom following the fallout with Amanda Abbington last year, the star is rumoured to take part in a rival show.
Reports suggest that Giovanni Pernice is being eyed up by ITV bosses to join this year’s star-studded line-up of I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
This comes after it was revealed that the Strictly Come Dancing star, 33, has decided to step back from the show.
It is alleged that the Sicilian-born dancer is in talks with the network about his options after reportedly telling close friends he is exploring all his options.
Among these are the likes of shows with the BBC too.
ITV bosses are said to be eager to get him locked in, a source told the Sun, before adding: "Giovanni would be perfect for the jungle.”
They claimed that the timing was perfect as "ITV bosses have wanted him for years and now he is finally free".
“Everyone is eager to get him on board - he really would be ideal for those jungle showers,” they added.
With talk quickly turning to the huge fee he will get paid, it was said: "They are expected to offer him big money and he's unlikely to turn it down really."
