The Masked Singer viewers 'rumble' Maypole's identity due to her incredible voice
The Masked Singer viewers had their say on which celebrities are still hiding at the start of the new series, and they're convinced they've discovered who Maypole is.
The Masked Singer: Panel try to guess Maypole's identity
The Masked Singer fans are convinced that the celebrity behind Maypole is British songstress Rita Ora. Viewers of the show flocked to social media after the hidden guest blew them away with her "incredible voice".
The new series of the competition aired earlier this year with a host of new celebrities hiding behind costumes. During the latest episode on Saturday evening, punters had their say on several acts, including who was behind the Maypole costume.
One person took to X and said: "Maypole sounds IDENTICAL to Rita Ora and they’re never on the same show. Rita just happens to be in America again. #maskedsinger."
A second chimed in: "#maskedsinger Until I see Rita Ora on the judge's panel at the same time as Maypole is on stage, they are one and the same." A third typed: "Maypole is Rita Ora isn’t it? Never on the same show together. #maskedsinger."
A fourth commented: "Maypole is either Rita Ora, Jade Thirwall (from Little Mix) or Melody Thornton (former Pussycat Doll)" as another penned: "I just hope it’s @RitaOra as the Maypole as that would be epic."

Judge Mo Gilligan was positive that it was Rita's voice, despite being told by host Joel Dommett that Rita was in the United States while the show was being filmed. But, other fans were convinced that it wasn't Rita at all but could be Jessie J or Melody Thornton.
Davina McCall, Mo, Jonathan Ross and Olly Murs have returned to the judging panel this year for the new series of The Masked Singer. They also shared an insane theory on who they think is behind Cricket.
X Factor star Olly suggested that it was 45-year-old singer Lemar. Meanwhile, Davina suggested that it was JLS band member Marvin Humes behind the costume.

In similar news, Olly revealed back in September that he had been axed as a judge from the ITV singing competition, The Voice. The 12th series of the show aired in November, but Olly would not be returning after seven years.
Speaking about his exit, he shared: "I feel so proud of this show. When I started I never imagined I would be here for six or seven years. I’m sad to be leaving but so happy to have been a part of the show. I’m hoping this series will be the best one yet!"
The Masked Singer returns next Saturday on ITV and ITVX at 7pm.
