Britney Spears ends feud with mum after 14 years as she 'turns up at doorstep' in reunion
Britney Spears has broken her silence over her unlikely reunion with her mother, Lynne Spears.
Britney Spears, 41, hadn't had any contact with her parents Jamie and Lynn Spears since the end of her conservatorship, with the singer showing no hopes for reconciliation.
However, this changed after TMZ previously reported that the Toxic singer's mother had reunited with her daughter at her Southern California home.
Lynne has been "committed to making it right with her daughter", a source told the outlet, and Wednesday's meeting was a step in that direction.
Britney has now taken to Instagram to speak out on the surprise meeting in view of her 42 million followers.
She wrote: "My sweet mama showed up at my doorstep yesterday after 3 years … it’s been such a long time … with family there’s always things that need to be worked out … but time heals all wounds!!!

"Psss… I’m so blessed we can have coffee together after 14 years !!! Let’s go shopping afterwards !!!" (sic)
As reported by TMZ, Lynne was captured at LAX airport after she landed in Los Angeles to meet Britney at her house.
Lynee first met Britney's friend and manager Cade Hudson before moving on to meet Britney, with the reunion lasting around 30 minutes.

An insider also claimed to Page Six that Britney knew about her mother’s visit beforehand as the two have been "texting more frequently" lately.
In August of 2022, Lynne shared a throwback image of herself laughing with Britney in a forest on Instagram in an attempt at reconciliation.
This came along with a caption in which she said she had done all she could to support her and hoped to have a face-to-face chat with her to smooth over the issues.
She added: "Your rejections to the countless times I have flown out and calls make me feel hopeless! I have tried everything.
"I love you so much, but this talk is for you and me only, eye to eye, in private."
In July of 2022, Britney said that Lynne had been instrumental in planning for her to be involuntarily committed prior to the commencement of the conservatorship in 2008.
The recent surprise meeting came about a year-and-a-half after Britney refused to see Lynne after she flew from her native Louisiana to Los Angeles in an attempt to make amends.
A source told Page Six in November 2021: "Britney didn't even let Lynne into her house. She is furious with her.
"Lynne tried over a number of days to try to visit, but Britney just shut her down."
