Piers Morgan was amusingly snapped at a burger van this morning and took to social media to share an explanation. The former Good Morning Britain presenter informed fans that he was just buying a drink from the stall, which was selling beef, venison and pork burgers and chips.
The 56-year-old is currently in St Andrews for a golfing holiday.
The humorous snap, which he shared on Instagram, did not go unnoticed by his personal trainer.
"Not a good look when you’re caught looking furtive outside a burger van at 7.45am…
"But I was only buying a coffee - honest, guv! (pic @dnqwallace)," he wrote on the picture-sharing site in view of his 1.8 million followers.

"I totally believe you Piers," test cricketer Dilip Doshi added.

"Mind the windows, Piers..." Sky Sports tweeted alongside a clip of the embarrassing moment.
Despite the incident, Piers and his team (former footballers Ruud Gullit and Jamie Redknapp) went on to win a game against cricketers Shane Warne and Michael Vaughan.
Sharing pictures from they day online, he wrote: "BREAKING: Football legends beat cricket legends-in-their-own-mirrors at @dunhilllinks hickory club challenge.
"Great to be in the winning team @ruudgullit @jamie.redknapp - and better luck next time @shanewarne23 @michaelvaughan."
