ANTON DU BEKE has taken a swipe at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's decision to name their newborn after the Queen, as he urged the royal couple to "grow up".
Lilibet Diana: Anton du Beke on 'nauseating' name selection
Anton Du Beke has hit out at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after the birth of their daughter Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. Prince Harry, 36, and Meghan Markle, 39, announced the arrival of their baby yesterday.
The couple also shared that their second child was born on Friday at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California.
Along with the exciting news of their daughter's birth, the royal couple revealed the sweet meaning behind their newborn’s name, which pays tribute to both Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Harry’s late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.
The Strictly Come Dancing star has since taken aim at their decision as he branded the move "nauseating".
Anton, 54, joined Steph McGovern, 39, on her self-titled Channel 4 show Steph's Packed Lunch, where they discussed the Duke and Duchess of Sussexes move.

Steph began: "Congratulations are in order for Harry and Meghan after the birth of their daughter Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
"They named her in tribute to the Queen because of course Lilibet is the affectionate name that is often used by the family for the Queen and of course Harry's mum Princess Diana."
She quizzed: "What do we think of the name?"
Anton could be seen rolling his eyes in the air, as he claimed the name choice was "nauseating".
"The right thing to say is that it's lovely, fabulous, delighted, well done," Anton began.
"I find it nauseating and irritating what they've done."
He continued: "I don't know them but I just want to say to them, 'Grow up!' That's all I want to say to them because I find it irritating.
"I don't find it nice, bearing in my mind what's gone on."

The Strictly professional insisted that he would only be comfortable with the name choice if the Queen is happy about the tribute.
Anton remarked: "But what I do think is if the Queen is happy about it and delighted and it's all fabulous than great. I'm just a misery gut, don't listen to me."
The BBC favourite admitted he is pleased for the couple's new arrival and is delighted about their growing family, but is not convinced about the name choice.
Anton went on: "I'm delighted that they have had the baby. That's gorgeous and everything is fabulous in that department.
"But the whole naming thing, you just think, 'Oh, grow up.'"
The Strictly star revealed that his wife Hannah Summers had broken the news to him and he admitted he was left in a "stunned silence", but added that was him being a bit "grumpy" over the name.
Newborn Lilibet is the Queen’s 11th great-grandchild and is eighth in line to the throne.
The Queen’s childhood nickname was also one frequently used by her late husband, Prince Philip, who died April 9, 2021.
