Golfer Jon Rahm, 24, recently admitted he wouldn’t hesitate to leave The Masters 2021 in Augusta if his wife Kelley Cahill went into labour during that time. But luckily for the pair, their newborn son Kepa arrived just before his big moment.
Ahead of their son's arrival, he urged fans not to bet on him incase he had to pull out at last minute.
Speaking to press last month, he warned: “All I can say is if anybody’s thinking of betting on me on the Masters, maybe think about it twice because there’s a chance I have to just turn around and leave that week.
"Being a father is much more important than any golf event would ever be, so that’s my head right now.”
On Thursday, he shared a picture of his wife proudly cradling their son, who was dressed in a caddie outfit.

“What a special week it’s been already... and it’s only Wednesday! @themasters.”
Jon introduced their first child together to the world last week.
Posting from their hospital room, the new parents posed for a selfie with their new arrival.
He commented: “Kepa Cahill Rahm, was born 4/3/21 at 12:15am. Momma Kelley is doing great and recovering.
“Kepa is also in great health. He is 7.2 lb and 20.5inch, big boy from the Basque Country.
“Without a doubt the greatest day of my life!”
Fans were quick to congratulate the pair on his social media page.

The couple both attended Arizona State University. After being friends for two years, they finally got together.
The PGA Tour winner popped the question to Kelley in June 2018 before the U.S. Open. A year later, the pair tied the knot in Bilbao, Spain.
Jon has previously credited his wife for helping him keep his health on track.
He told Golf Channel: “The number one person, and I’m always going to say this, who has contributed to my life to help me be able to be the best is Kelley.
“Because being a golfer, and Jack Nicklaus always said this, can be a very selfish life.
“And Kelley gets that, as an athlete she understands that, so she encourages me to practice, helps me stay on the diet.”
