This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes, 60, has admitted he has been “threatened and warned off” from using the barbecue by his wife Ruth Langsford, 60. The star shared the surprising home life revelation with his one million Twitter followers this evening and compared the situation to “being made to stand in the corner wearing a Dunce's cap”.
Eamonn began by asking fans if they could relate to the issue, as he tweeted: “Am I the only man in the country whose wife tells he is not allowed anywhere near the BBQ even though I bbq superbly well?”
He continued: “I have been threatened & warned off by @RuthieeL.
“It's the modern-day equivalent of being made to stand in the corner wearing a Dunce's cap.”
Fans rushed to the comments section of Eamonn’s funny post to share their thoughts on his unfortunate predicament.

One Twitter user named Diane wrote: “Eamonn, you and Ruth have made me chuckle and laugh so much over lockdown and during shielding. So much so, I now record This Morning so I don’t miss it and will continue to when school term returns. This made me chuckle.”
However, Eamonn insisted in response that the problem was not a laughing matter, writing back: “Not funny Diane…..”
Actress Zora Suleman wondered: “But E... can you BBQ? I mean, actually BBQ?!! xx.”
“I think I can.... she would disagree,” Eamonn replied to the star alongside a sad face emoji.
A fan then suggested: “I think Ruth might be concerned about the cleaning-up after!”
Eamonn admitted in response: “That indeed could be a factor.”
“Obviously you’ve burnt her burgers & sausages Eamonn,” another fan commented.
Eamonn acknowledged this could be a possibility by replying: “Obviously….”

Elsewhere, Eamonn’s other half Ruth hit back at a social media user who criticised one of her outfit choices on This Morning.
It came as Ruth took to Instagram last month to excitedly tell fans about her return to QVC.
In her post, she urged fans to look out for a new item in her collection and revealed she had been doing some “homework”.
While many fans asked Ruth for size and style tips in the comments section, one took the opportunity to criticise her choice of clothing on the ITV programme.
They wrote: "Shame they put you in frumpy old women's clothes on This Morning!!!!"
Ruth argued in response that her outfit worn on This Morning was her choice.
She replied: “I chose the outfit myself and was very happy with it...
