Neil Jones spends longest EVER day in studio with Strictly 2019 partner Alex Scott
NEIL JONES - a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing 2019 - took to Instagram to tell his social media fans about the “longest day” in the studio with dance partner Alex Scott, days after the pair found themselves bottom of the leaderboard.
Strictly Come Dancing 2019 professional Neil Jones, 37, told his 197,000 followers he spent 13 hours in the studio with Alex Scott, 35, yesterday, ahead of their fifth live show this weekend.
Last weekend, the dancing duo appeared disappointed with their scores after receiving 23 out of 40 points from the four judges.
Taking to his Instagram story, he said: “Wow, you can’t imagine, this is the longest day I’ve ever spent in the studio… 13 hours.
“Alex is working so hard, she wants this dance to be her best yet. I’m tired.”

The dancer also gave an insight into the pair’s rehearsals by re-sharing Alex’s video of her dropping him as they attempted a tricky move.
Alex also took to her own Instagram story to comment on the duo’s lengthy dance session.
In view of her 300,000 followers, she wrote: “13 hours in rehearsals today and had no time to post… my bad.
“Absolutely shattered and my body hurts… this Charleston routine is FULL ON but it’s so fun and I [heart emoji] it.”
She added: “At it again tomorrow to make sure we are doing everything we can to make it our best week yet.”
The football star concluded her post writing: “No pain no gain,” followed by Neil’s Instagram handle.
Elsewhere last week, Neil and Alex had a light-hearted argument ahead of the live show last weekend.
Katya Jones’ ex filmed the pair in the studio as he said to the camera: “I’m here with Spicy Scott but for some reason she’s not talking to me today.”
Alex hit back: “I haven’t forgiven you, this argument is not over yet. It’s not finished until after the dance, okay?”
Neil said response: “All because I didn’t do the washing up, wow.”
The dancer then turned to his fellow pro Luba Mushtuk to ask for her for advice about the issue.
He said to her: “Luba, for some reason Alex isn’t talking to me.
“Well I didn’t do the washing up and she’s not talking to me.”
Luba replied saying she was going to speak to the football star to ask what was wrong.
This weekend, Neil and Alex will perform a Charleston to Swingrower’s hit Pump Up The Jam.
Strictly Come Dancing continues this Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One.
