Strictly's AJ Pritchard discusses dating rumours
AJ Pritchard, 24, is a firm favourite amongst BBC viewers and the professional constantly wows audiences with his dance moves on the ballroom floor. The Strictly Come Dancing pro spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk, where he opened up about how he feels about being linked romantically to his celebrity dance partners on the show and admitted he “doesn’t take it on board”. He said: “I think its always a little bit amusing for me because sometimes I do read it. But I never take it on board to be honest. “But it's amusing because usually it’s pretty far off. It’s not even close half the time. It’s entertaining for us all.”
It's amusing
AJ was partnered with gymnast Claudia Fragapane in 2016's season of Strictly and singer Mollie King in 2017.
Last year, the suave dancer was paired with paralympian Lauren Steadman.
Meanwhile, the pro-dancer has recently wrapped on his own solo theatre show called Get On The Floor, and divulged the details of the marriage proposals he received from fans.
The star spilled on the most bizarre requests he had received during the live Q&A sessions he held during his headline stage show.
AJ divulged: “Obviously the marriage proposals are a regular on the night. We get way too many of those requests.
“We do the final question and you get the person on the stage if they’re easy to get too and they’ve got their question on the Q-card but they’ve forgotten it.
“We’re like do you want us to ask the question for you?”
He continued: “And then they [the fan] suddenly ask a different question and you're like ooh I didn’t expect that one. I’m like how do I worm myself out of this?
“That’s always funny. It’s like that pantomime feeling.”
Last month, the pro dancer revealed he will be returning to the ballroom floor in the new series of the programme.
In view of his 360,000 Instagram followers, he said: “YES I’m back on @bbcstrictly for my 4 year (all the way to the final this time) I’ll be Screaming this every night on Tour Now.”
The BBC favourite has admitted he would love to be part of the show for the long haul but “you never know".
AJ said: “You never know what is going to happen in the future.
“But I’m so happy to be on the show and I’ll be returning for as many years as possible.”
Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One later this year.
