Jackson family mourns at parents' home
MICHAEL JACKSON's three young children have gathered with his sister JANET JACKSON and close family at the pop star's parent's California home to grieve his sudden death.
The Thriller hitmaker passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest on Thursday (25Jun09) at the age of 50.
Janet flew into Los Angeles from Atlanta, Georgia on Friday (26Jun09) to be with her grieving family, according to her manager Kenneth Crear.
There she was joined her niece and nephews - 12-year-old Michael Joseph Jackson. Jr, later dubbed Prince, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, 11, and seven-year-old Michael Jackson II, known as Blanket - and close family at the Encino home of her parents, Joe and Katherine.
Crear adds: "Janet Jackson is grief-stricken and devastated at the sudden loss of her brother."
Jackson's body has since been released by the Los Angeles coroner's office - who have found no evidence of foul play - allowing the grieving family to make funeral arrangements while investigators take extra time to complete toxicology, neuropathology and pulmonary tests before determining the exact cause of death.
A final verdict on Jackson's cause of death is expected within four to six weeks.
