Kevin Clifton: Strictly star calls out Stacey Dooley for THIS unexpected reason
KEVIN CLIFTON, a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing 2018, has been putting his celebrity dance partner Stacey Dooley through her paces during their rehearsals for this week's BBC show.
Strictly stars practice their week eight routines
Film and documentary-maker, Stacey Dooley, 31, is currently coupled up with Kevin Clifton, 36, in Strictly Come Dancing 2018.
In a recent video clip of the pair preparing for tonight's show, the professional dancer took a swipe at the BBC star for a surprising, and rather embarrassing, reason.
The journalist could not seem to stop herself from burping as they practised, which the Instagram upload revealed.
Kevin asked: “Did you burp again?”
In a fit of giggles, Stacey replied: “No, Kev.”
He continued sarcastically: “Elegance, grace, the Audrey Hepburn, here she comes.”
The professional dancer seems to be taking a lot of cheeky swipes at his dance partner lately as he recently took to Instagram to compare the auburn beauty to her beloved dog Bernie.
The dancer uploaded a split picture of his parter and her pooch, with the caption: “Sometimes dogs and their owners start to look like each other @sjdooley.”
Many of his fans flocked to his page to comment on the upload.
Others were less impressed by the cheeky dig as one commented: “Oooo low blow."
A third person commented: “Someone's asking for a whoopin' @keviclifton.”
Meanwhile, the dancing duo are quickly becoming firm favourites in the competition as they received the highest score of 36 on last week’s show.
The couple performed the Couples’ Choice Street commercial dance to Empire State of Mind (Part II ) by Alicia Keys.
Head judge Shirley Ballas told them: “A modern twist on Street Commercial, fantastic. It doesn't matter what style, you have grown incredibly.”
Craig Revel Horwood commented: “Absolutely everything I love.”
Animated judge Bruno Tonioli said: “It was so imaginative. It was flawless.
“You threw in so many elements in there - it was musical theatre, contemporary dance, hip-hop, Hollywood.”
Darcey Bussell added a similar view as she said: “I loved the contemporary fusion - you have this wonderful sass about you.”
This week, Stacey and Kevin will perform the Waltz to Moon River by Audrey Hepburn.
Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight at 7pm on BBC One.
