Mark Jordon: Emmerdale actor indicates ‘not guilty pleas’ to pensioner attack
MARK JORDON, who plays Daz Spencer in Emmerdale, made an appearance at Tameside Magistrates' Court in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester to face a grievous bodily harm and common assault charge today.
Emmerdale actor Mark Jordon, 53, is charged with grievous bodily harm and common assault to a 67-year-old man who suffered facial injuries.
In court, he has indicated not guilty pleas to allegations he attacked the pensioner.
He entered the dock to confirm his name, address, date of birth and nationality as his partner Ms Norton sat watching in the courtroom.
His alleged victim Andy Potts was sat in the public gallery.
Rebecca Clarke, who represented Jordon, told Stephen Collins, the chairman of the bench, that her client was indicating not guilty pleas.
Brief details of the background to the allegations were outlined by prosecutor Elliott Taylforth.
Mr Collins agreed and granted Jordon unconditional bail.
He will appear at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on December 6 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
For his appearance today, the actor sported a black blazer, jeans and casual shoes.
