Madonna's girl needs ...material
IN a pair of outrageously ripped jeans, Madonna's daughter has made her catwalk debut.
Lourdes, 21, who is the singer's eldest child by ex-boyfriend Carlos Leon, a fitness trainer who Madonna started dating in 1995, took to the catwalk on Tuesday during New York Fashion Week.
She wore a striking outfit of tattered, low-slung denim that showed off her legs, chunky "dad" trainers in a bra top of shells, chains and pearls that her mother would have been proud of in her heyday.
The Material Girl singer, 60, started the craze for underwear as outerwear with her John Paul Gaultier conical bras on her Blonde Ambition tour back in 1990.
Lourdes, who has starred in advertising campaigns for Stella McCartney's Pop fragrance and Converse footwear, is combining modelling with studying at the University of Michigan.
Lourdes joins a lengthy list of model kids with famous parents that includes David and Victoria Beckham's son Romeo, 16; Lily-Rose Depp, 19, the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis; and Kaia Gerber, 17, Cindy Crawford's daughter by husband Rande Gerbe.
