Eamonn Holmes Twitter: This Morning star reveals MAJOR family news after health troubles
EAMONN HOLMES shocked fans last week when he posted a Twitter photo revealing his injuries after missing an instalment of This Morning, but today the ITV presenter had some good news to share.
This Morning: Ruth and Eamonn in hysterics over rude gaffe
The ITV This Morning star appeared to have recovered as he spoke out about his “special day” with his 971,000 Twitter followers.
The television regular announced his eldest child was set to walk down the aisle in Ireland.
The 58-year-old couldn’t hide his “delight” ahead of Declan, 29 and fiancée Jenny Gouk’s big day.
As well as having son Jack with wife and co-star Ruth Langsford, Eamonn Holmes is also father to three grown-up children.
I'm delighted to say there's a lot of love and happiness all around us
The star shares Declan, Rebecca, 27, and Niall, 25, with his former spouse Gabrielle, who he was married to until 2005.
Writing online this morning, Eamonn gushed: “It's a Special Day. My first born son @decholmes gets married today to @JennyGouk.
“The clans are gathering and I'm delighted to say there's a lot of Love and happiness all around us #IrishWedding.”
He was seemingly joined at the bash by Ruth, also 58, after he posted about their outing the previous day.
“Well done @dunnesstores at Forestside Belfast for supplying chairs for shoppers that need them for whatever reason,” Eamonn stated.
He went on: “For me it's because @RuthieeL has disappeared into soft furnishings… perhaps never to return #CustomerService #Dyingtrend.”
However, his comments attracted attention from some after he previously said he had shingles.
He was forced to skip This Morning because of his condition before sharing a shocking image with his 396,000 Instagram supporters.
Eamonn captioned it: “I know I look as though I've been in a scrap but honestly I haven't. It's worse than that - it's Shingles.”
He uploaded a photo of his swollen face giving followers a side view of his rash.
Many of his social media fans flocked to the comments section to send their well wishes.
One user commented: “My goodness I hope you feel better soon x.”
Another penned: “Ah so sorry for you, it’s so horrible.”
Meanwhile, yesterday someone questioned him being out and about on Twitter: “If you have shingles what you doing out infecting people?”
However, Eamonn was quick to respond, simply adding: “I’m not infectious.”
This Morning continues weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
