Give Trump star to my pal Carrie, says Hamill
STAR Wars actor Mark Hamill wants Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame replaced with one for his co-star Carrie Fisher. City council chiefs passed a resolution asking for the removal of the US President’s marker on the famous Hollywood Boulevard pavement.
It comes after a man was charged with vandalising it using a pickaxe on July 25.
Hamill wrote on Twitter: “How about replacing it with someone who really earned it? Like Carrie Fisher.”
Fisher and Hamill appeared in the original Star Wars trilogy as brother and sister Luke and Princess Leia and in sequels The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, filmed just before the actress’s death in 2016.
How about replacing it with someone who really earned it? Like Carrie Fisher.
Mr Trump’s star has been defaced numerous times since his presidential campaign in 2016.
He was awarded the star in 2007 after hosting TV hit The Apprentice.
In 2016, a man was filmed hitting it with a sledgehammer while it has also been spray-painted and spat on.
But the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which controls the Walk Of Fame, said: “There are no plans to remove any stars.”
